Maya White has been great for Mercy girls basketball, but this senior is also stepping up

Sophie Dugas went from being a rotational player in 2020 to becoming both a captain and starter this winter.

In June 2021, the White House announced their nomination of Attorney Jia Cobb for United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. On October 27, 2021, she received confirmation from the United States Senate. With her confirmation, Judge Cobb is now only the fourth Black woman ever appointed to this Court. Jia received her B.A. from Northwestern University in 2002 and J.D.

Luanne Thomas Ewald FACHE, M.H.A '87, Chief Operating Officer at U-M C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, was named to Crain's 2021 100 Most Influential Women. The final list was selected by top newsroom leadership based on the significance of their contributions and specific stories of real influence and impact. Read more here.

U.S. Military Academy at West Point Class of 2021 Cadet Hannah Blakey '18 was awarded a U.S. Rhodes Scholarship and will be a student at the University of Oxford in the Fall of 2022. Dedicated to serving others, Blakey is one of three Cadets-in-Charge of the Elevation initiative mentorship club and is a preschool and kindergarten Sunday school teacher.

We did it! THANK YOU Mercy families for your generous Focus: HOPE Food Drive donations! Bountiful boxes filled the semi truck and many went above and beyond to provide food and money to those in need. Mercy High school is proud to be one of Focus: HOPE's largest and most influential donors.

One of our favorite Mercy celebrations is back! Human Relations Council proudly presented Ethnic Bazaar United in Mercy on Friday, November 19. Ethnic Bazaar is a long standing Mercy tradition which highlights our diversity and unity through song, dance, poetry, prayer, food and fashion. Watch performances here.
