Mercy Mock Trial Wins 2025 Regional Championship

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Mercy’s Varsity Mock Trial Team earned 1st Place honors at the Michigan Center for Civic Education (MCCE) Wayne County Regional Tournament. The competition took place at the Wayne County Circuit Court and was adjudicated by sitting Circuit Court judges. Several team members received individual accolades for their outstanding performances. Senior Kayla Kilano earned the Star Attorney award twice, while Junior Peyton Robinson also claimed the honor. On the witness stand, Addison Hannah, Alaina Mundt, and Isabella Casab each took home Star Witness awards.

With this championship victory, Mercy advances to the MCCE State Tournament next month in Lansing, where the team will compete for a state title.
