Student Schedules & Required Forms

The 2019-2020 student schedules are available on PowerSchool. As a reminder, all students and families must be sure all required forms are submitted on Privit, student billing account is current, and there are no outstanding JUGs in order to access their course schedule and purchase books.

* Mercy uses Privit for required school forms. The Personal Details Form, Emergency Verification Form, Concussion Form, Permissions Form, and Medical Treatment Release Form must all be signed and submitted online through your Privit account in order for a student to receive their course schedule. All incoming 9th graders, transfer students, athletes, and students taking a Physical Education class, will also need a physical performed on or after 4/15/2019, the Pre-Participation History Form, Communications Authorization Form, and the Assumption of Risk Form. If you have Privit questions or issues, contact Kate Scalzi at kmscalzi@mhsmi.org or 248-893-3510.

  • Click here for Privit NEW Parent instructions to create an account, if you haven't already set up your new login.

  • Click here for Privit CURRENT RETURNING Parent Instructions to update your existing account. If you already have a Privit account for Athletics, you do not need to create another account. If you have a Privit account for an older daughter, you can add a younger daughter.

  • Click here to login to Privit. Please allow approximately 15-20 minutes to complete all forms. Be sure to reference all instructions and directions and if you have Privit questions or issues, contact Kate Scalzi at kmscalzi@mhsmi.org or 248-893-3510.

* Your daughter's schedule, Mercy email and book purchasing are not available if her Student Billing account (including iPad and tuition) is not current. If you have questions regarding her Student Billing account, please contact Mrs. Hayes in the Business Office at 248-893-3580 or arhayes@mhsmi.org. The Business Office is open 8:30am to 2:30pm.

* Your daughter's schedule is not available if she has outstanding JUGs. If you have questions in regards to JUGs, please contact Mrs. Tarplin at edtarplin@mhsmi.org.

If you are unable to access using your username and password, try resetting your password using the "Having Trouble Signing In?" link. Once in PowerSchool, the "Grades & Attendance" icon will give the list of classes for the whole school year. The "Exp" column lists the hour the class meets. To see a matrix view for first semester with room numbers click the "My Schedule" icon. Any periods not listed are unscheduled periods.

Schedules were reviewed by counselors to resolve any known issues. Please have your daughter email her counselor if there is a "true" issue with her schedule (such as an incorrect course, course not scheduled or full year courses not scheduled all year).

Please note: The master schedule was built (sections and staffing) based on student course selections made in the spring. Alternates, at times, were used to complete schedules when necessary. Students with unresolved conflicts in their schedules were emailed. Please have your daughter check for an email regarding a schedule conflict (current students) or from the Admissions Office (new students) before emailing her counselor. The only other schedule changes counselors will handle, the first week of school, are straight drops (except AP or Honors courses per contract signed to enroll) or adds (if space is available). Schedules will not be rearranged to accommodate a "change of mind."

Book Purchasing

MBS Direct Virtual Bookstore

Once your daughter obtains her 2019-2020 schedule through PowerSchool, you're ready to purchase her books for the upcoming school year. MBS Direct has worked hard with our Mercy Staff to provide a comprehensive list of books needed for your daughter's courses.

MBS Direct offers Shop by Schedule, which enables students to enter their Mercy Student ID in order to access their entire schedule's course materials on the MBS Virtual Bookstore. This allows your daughter to add all of her course materials to her shopping cart at one time, eliminating the need to select each course individually. (The Shop by Schedule option only available to students with activated PowerSchool accounts by August 2. If your account was activated thereafter, please use the Shop by Course option.) Shop by Course is also available using your student schedule. Feel free to experience this easy and convenient ordering method by visiting our MBS Direct Virtual Bookstore and try it out for yourself!

  • Click the "Let's Get Started" button on Mercy's Virtual Bookstore

  • Under "Shop by Schedule", enter your student ID number

  • Confirm that you are that Mercy Girl Student - click "Continue"

  • You'll see your course materials and can select items to check out when ready!

Take advantage of digital formats and free shipping offers!

Since every Mercy girl will have an iPad to facilitate her learning, consider digital formats in lieu of a hardbound textbook. It's truly a matter of preference. We really hope students take advantage of the many digital book options available; however, please read and follow the Teacher Course Messages listed. Students may take advantage of free shipping offers of hardbound books through August 16th, 2019.

Contact our MBS books liaison Kelly Bickes at kabickes@mhsmi.org with book ordering questions.
