Farmington Hills Mercy takes twinbill from CHSL rival Livonia Ladyood.
Defending Michigan Hihg School Athletic Association Division 1 softball doubleheader sweep of Catholic High School League rival Livonia Ladywood on Friday, April 28, 2018 at Mercy.
Mercy won game one 18-5 in five innings and game two 14-4 in five innings.
Freshman Olivia Iafrate won the first game, striking out five in five innings. Freshman Samantha Shea earned the win in game two, striking out three in five innings.
Senior Sophia VanAcker had six hits and scored seven runs in the series, includin ga triple, home run and five RBI's.
Junior Anna Dixon had three hits and drove in six runs.
Mercy plays in the New Boston Huron Tournament Saturday, April 29 and takes on Warren Regina on Tuesday, May 2.
