Mercy French AP and French for Career students attended the French Heritage Night with the Detroit Pistons on Thursday March 16. The evening was sponsored by the Alliance Française of Detroit. Participants received souvenirs including a French Heritage t-shirt and a tri-colored (red, white and blue) wool scarf. After the game, we had the opportunity to meet Killian Hayes, a member of the team of French ancestry who grew up in France and played professional basketball. The students asked Killlian questions in French, followed by a contest of answering French cultural questions in which some lucky ones won autographed pictures of Killian. The students were accompanied by Madame Shea and Madame Campbell. It was a fun French night at the LIttle Caesars Arena in Detroit.
