Mercy's Varsity Mock Trial Team competed in the Oakland County Regional Tournament held February 25th. Our Defense Team won the first round. Senior Ella Sinawi was awarded Star Attorney and sophomore Isabella Casab was awarded Star Witness. Additionally, junior Carly Dalloo earned a perfect 10 for her closing argument.
Our Prosecution team won round 2 and split round 3. Seniors Marina DiPoinio and Sabrina Shea were awarded Star Attorney and freshman Stella Coe and sophomore Alaina Mundt were awarded Star Witness. Marina DiPonio and Alaina Mundt earned perfect 10 for their performances and in round 3, the Prosecution Team earned a perfect 10 for overall team performance.
At the award ceremony, Mercy earned the Honorable Mention award. With the Honorable Mention award Mercy becomes eligible for the Wild Card selection to the State Tournament!
