2025 Financial Aid FAFSA Info
As we wait for the FAFSA to open on December 1st, there are a few steps you can take now to streamline the process.
Your daughter and each adult contributor (parent) will need to have an FSA ID to complete the form. An FSA ID can be created before the December 1st launch. It can take 2-3 days to verify the information for the FSA ID, therefore early completion is beneficial. The student and each contributor will need their social security number.
Additionally, there are some schools that either require or recommend the CSS Profile. Please use this link to check to see if the schools on your list participate in the CSS Profile.
The Michigan Achievement Scholarships offered by the State of Michigan has several scholarships, some which require a FAFSA on file.
- The Public or Private College/University Grant requires a FAFSA on-file. Eligibility begins at an SAI of $30,000.
- The Community College Guarantee is open to all Michigan high school graduates from the Class of 2023 and beyond. The Community College Guarantee enables students to attend their local community college tuition-free. There is no financial need component to this grant, however, a FAFSA must be on-file. Students must be enrolled full-time at their local in-district community college to maintain eligibility.
Please reach out to the Counseling Office if you have any questions.
