B.A.S.E. Black College & Culture Tour 2025

We are excited to announce our upcoming B.A.S.E. Black College & Culture Tour from February 17-23, 2025. This will be an unforgettable opportunity for our students to tour some of the South's most prestigious Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and more. Our planned stops include:

  • Xavier University of Cincinnati
  • Kentucky State University
  • Fisk University
  • Tennessee State University
  • Alabama A&M University
  • Spelman College
  • Meharry Medical College
  • Clark Atlanta University

This tour will allow students to explore college campuses, speak with Admissions counselors directly, experience HBCU culture, and even meet Mercy alumnae currently attending these schools.

Estimated Cost

The estimated cost for the tour, based on a quad room arrangement, is $1,700. The final package details and pricing will be available very soon. We are also planning fundraisers to help offset the costs for families, so stay tuned for more information on how you can participate!

We are thrilled to be hosting our 2nd Black College and Culture Tour, and we hope your student will participate in this incredible experience.

If you would like to donate to support our efforts and help make this trip accessible for all students, please visit mhsmi.org/donate. Select "Other" from the "Designation" section drop-down box, and input "BASE College Tour."

If you want to help us plan the event, please directly contact Eleasha Tarplin or Traci Smith.

Thank you for your continued support. Please save the date, and we look forward to providing more details soon!
