October 27 Day of Prayer for Peace
In response to the ongoing violence in the Holy Land and the loss of innocent lives, we are asked to unite with our Holy Father, Pope Francis, for a day of prayer on Friday, October 27.
As our Archbishop, the Most Reverend Allen H. Vigneron shares:
"As a people of peace and justice, we implore the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, the Queen of Peace, in calling on Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace to heal the wounded and hardened hearts driving this violence. We also ask our Lord to offer consolation to all victims, and those in harm's way."
We are all encouraged to be mindful of the Pope and the Archbishop’s request as we join together in intentional prayer for peace in the Middle East. Prayers for peace will be made available in the Chapel, and all are encouraged to visit for individual prayer and reflection throughout the day as you are able.
