Counseling Department Fall 2023 Update

Dear Mercy Community,

On behalf of the Counseling Department, we welcome you to the upcoming 2023-2024 school year!  We have a few updates to share regarding currently effective changes within the department.

We are excited to welcome our new 9th grade Counselor, Mrs. Kristen Gregory-Webb to our team! She joins the Mercy community after serving as a school-based mental and behavioral health therapist for the past 8 years, and serving students in a school setting for the past 12 years. Additionally, she has worked in the social work/mental health field since 2003.

Due to organizational restructuring, the following changes are also now in place for our 10th -12th student caseloads:
  • Mrs. Holly Bennetts will support 10th -12th graders, last names A-C.
  • Mrs. Arpna Hessler will support 10th -12th graders with last names D-E & H-O for the Classes of 2024 and 2025, and last names D-M for the Class of 2026 and beyond.
  • Mrs. Kristen Casey will support 10th -12th graders, last names F-G & P-Z for the Classes of 2024 and 2025, and last names N-Z for the Class of 2026 and beyond.
These adjustments are necessary as Mrs. Bennetts will assume additional mission and ministry related responsibilities. Mrs. Bennetts has been working closely with Mrs. Casey and Mrs. Hessler for a smooth transition of support for any student affected by this change.

Please know that this specific caseload design was a student centered decision. We understand that change can be difficult, and we are committed to approaching this transition with thoughtfulness and care. Please rest assured that the Mercy Counseling Department will proactively and thoughtfully assist and support all students impacted by these changes.

We thank you for your support as we look forward to building new relationships with students and their families, and strengthening those already established.

Cordially,

Mercy High School Counseling Department
