Dear Mercy Parents/Guardians,
You have probably noticed some changes to improve parking lot safety and there are more to come. There is now a security guard positioned at the 11 Mile Road "Entrance Only" driveway at the end of the school day. The purpose of the guard is to prevent cars from exiting out of this entrance only. Parents and students are doing this and it is extremely dangerous for sidewalk cyclists and pedestrians and impedes the flow of traffic.
In an effort to slow traffic in our drop-off zones, there were four new pedestrian right-of-way crosswalks striped for the safety of students and staff. After the winter thaw, we intend to install speed bumps in the drop-off lanes. All of these changes will be implemented to make our parking lot safer for all.
Parking Lot Etiquette Reminders:

Please do not use the area in front of the Reception Area walkway as a drop-off or pick-up point.This area is busy and when cars stop it prevents the rest of the traffic from proceeding. If you have a daughter who is injured, please pull up past the walkway or park in a visitor parking space to drop-off or pick-up your daughter.

Please remember to slow down and adhere to yield signs, especially near crosswalks.

Please use the drive marked "Entrance Only" to enter and the drive marked "Exit Only" to exit.
- Left turn off of Middlebelt Road to enter the Auditorium/Gym parking lot is prohibited by the city of Farmington Hills.
