Empowering Mercy Students: Introducing #WinAtSocial
Dear Mercy Family,
We are excited to announce that Mercy High School has partnered with The Social Institute (TSI), a nationally recognized leader in empowering students to navigate the challenges and opportunities of social media and technology with positivity, confidence, and purpose. This initiative aligns with our Catholic identity and the Mercy charism, reinforcing our commitment to forming graduates who embody compassion, integrity, and leadership while advocating for online interactions rooted in dignity and respect.
Our school is adopting TSI’s comprehensive program, called #WinAtSocial, which promotes character, empathy, teamwork, critical thinking, and other essential life skills. In a world where online behavior can sometimes harm relationships and reputations, TSI’s lessons empower students to make decisions that reflect their values and character, decisions that reflect receiving a Mercy education. Using the #WinAtSocial program, students learn how to approach social media as a platform to promote kindness, understanding, and thoughtful engagement.
We believe this partnership will also benefit our families by encouraging meaningful conversations about technology, relationships, and choices that shape the future.

How Your Family Can Participate:
- Extend learning at home. Twice a month, students will engage with #WinAtSocial lessons within their Adviser Group. To support these lessons, we’ll include #WinAtSocial Family Huddle follow-up questions in our weekly Messenger communication, providing you with opportunities to reflect together as a family on these timely topics.
- Register your free account for The Social Toolkit. Many families describe this as a quick and practical guide to understanding how teens are using and being impacted by social media and technology. Go to the Toolkit, click Activate Account, and enter our school code: 418a3679A11257.
- Use resources as you see fit. The TSI materials are designed to complement family discussions by offering insights into the digital world and fostering meaningful conversations with your daughter about using social media to reflect respect, responsibility, and strong character.
We are grateful for the opportunity to work together as a Mercy community to help our students use their voices to create a more compassionate and just world—online and beyond.
