THANK YOU
Thank you for your faithful support of Mercy High School! The mission of educating and nurturing young women of diverse backgrounds to excel academically, serve compassionately, and lead courageously is continued by the generosity of donors. As we look forward to another successful school year, we are grateful for each and every alumna, parent, student, grandparent, and friend who continues to enrich the Mercy community. DONOR FUNDED CAMPUS UPDATES
Thanks to the generosity of many faithful donors, sponsors and partners, we are excited to share numerous updates to our campus that took place this summer.
- New Landscaping: Our campus beautification project was completed this August and provides Mercy with a fresh new look including vibrant colors and modern textures! The updated landscaping is unified and adapts to the season. The newly installed lighting will highlight our plantings and will soon illuminate our cross located above the Reception Area, creating a beautiful focal point during the evenings.
- Finished Locker Room Shower Area: This two-year project is now complete and ready to use. Our Mercy girls are able to enjoy Marlin spirit and beautiful shower facilities whether they are in a PE class or using the area for athletics.
- Auditorium: In anticipation of the Spring Musical Frozen, our auditorium ceiling was painted and the stage refinished. We were also able to purchase new lights and a projector that will enhance special effects for all future performances.
- Courtyard Upgrades: There are now even more spots in our courtyards for Mercy girls to gather with our newly added outdoor furniture. Cafe Team Member and master gardener Maria Eichholzer beautifully transformed the Cafe Courtyard.
- New Kiln: Our talented Art students are fired up to use our new kiln for their pottery and sculpture pieces!
- New Windows in the North Courtyard: In continuing our effort to ensure better energy efficiency throughout the building, windows were upgraded in the North Courtyard.
- Upgraded Electronic Outdoor Sign Coming Soon: Watch for Mercy news and announcements on a bigger, more graphic friendly sign on the corner of 11 Mile and Middlebelt Rd!
