NICOLE GOPOIAN WIRICK '99
Nicole Gopoian Wirick, JD, CFP® founded Prosperity Wealth Strategies, a boutique independent wealth management and financial planning firm, in Birmingham, Michigan, in 2019. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude from Wayne State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Nicole holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and serves as an exam mentor and member of Scholarship Review Panel.
Nicole believes in financial empowerment and has become a thought leader both locally and nationally. She has been quoted several dozen times in leading publications such as CNBC, Bloomberg, AARP, Forbes, Fortune, Investment News, Newsweek, MarketWatch, and Yahoo Finance. Nicole also writes a quarterly column as a guest contributor to TheStreet and is a content developer for FinStreamTV.
In 2023, Nicole was honored as an Exceptional Woman Leader in Metropolitan Detroit by SEEN Magazine and was proud to have an article published in the magazine and speak on the topic of financial empowerment for women and how to become the CFO of your own household.
Nicole is a former board member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Michigan, the leading membership organization for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals and those engaged in the financial planning process. Recognizing an absence of women-focused networking and programming, she revived the Women & Finance Knowledge Circle as a subgroup within the FPA of Michigan and engaged record participation. Identifying the need to engage more professional women in the game of golf, Nicole created ‘How to Survive a Golf Scramble’ for Women in Finance, which was a resounding success and was replicated in many markets across the nation.
Nicole focuses a significant portion of her practice on philanthropic giving. As a speaker for the Planned Giving Roundtable of SE Michigan, Nicole educates other giving professionals on more tax efficient ways to give to charity, with the goal of continuing to foster charitable giving within her community.
Nicole was awarded an Honorable Mention for the Catalyst category in the 2021 Invest in Others Award in recognition of her involvement with the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Michigan for her role in co-chairing the Spring Soirée in conjunction with Neiman Marcus. The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering financial advisors who invest in others by giving back to their communities with overwhelming generosity. This program recognizes the charitable work of financial advisors in communities across the country and around the world.
Nicole and her husband Adam live in Bloomfield Hills with their two rescue dogs, Zula and Finn.
