Junior Arianna Allman was a triple winner for Farmington Hills Mercy in girls track and field Tuesday, leading her team to a 79-49 win over Wixom St. Catherine of Siena.
She earned first place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.60 seconds and was the runner-up in the 100 hurdles at 20.87.
Allman was the winner in both jumping events, reaching 5 feet in the high jump and 13-4 in the long jump.
Hannah Blakey won the 100 and 200 dashes with times of 13.80 and 28.35. She also was part of the 3,200 and 1,600 relay teams.
The Marlins swept first place in the field events as Bianca Berger threw the shot put 28-11 and April Seilo the discus 97-2.
Mercy won both sprint relay races, too, with Kristen Mifsud, Nina Small and Brenae Smith being members of both teams.
Seilo ran the third leg of the 800, and Jillian Yassay filled that role in the 400. The Marlins ran 2:04.96 and 57.35, respectively.
Hallie Buckner was second in the 100, 400 and 200 events with times of 14.34, 1:07.98 and 29.37.
She just missed winning the 400 as she finished a mere 27 hundredths of a second behind St. Catherine’s Shannon Ryan.
Mercy’s Erin Haapala was second in the 1,600 meters (6:11.95) and third in the 3,200 run (14:14.55).
The Marlins had other runner-up efforts from Julie Lilley, 800, 2:41.90; Bennie Booker, shot put, 27-8; Indya Hood, discus, 77-4; and Small, high jump, 4-6.
“It was nice to give them a chance to run on a track,” Mercy coach Gary Servais said of the Stars, adding they have a first-year program. “They have some pretty good kids.”
Mercy will have its last home meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday against Beverly Hills-Detroit Country Day.
