Farmington Hills Mercy downs rival Livonia Ladywood to earn Central title.
Farmington Hills Mercy downed rival Livonia Ladywood 47-34 to clinch the Catholic High School League Central Division girls basketball regular season title on Friday, February 5 at Ladywood.
The Marlins improved to 10-4 overall and 7-1 in the CHSL.
Senior Zora Pullen had 16 points and pulled down five rebounds and junior Jackie Bauer added 10 points to lead Mercy.
The Marlins led 13-6 after one quarter and 32-13 at halftime.
Mercy was coming off a 32025 win over Bloomfield Hills Marian on Tuesday, February 2.
The CHSL playoffs begin Saturday, February 13. The CHSL A-B Division title game is Sunday, February 21 at University of Detroit Mercy.
