For the past 16 years, Dr. Kreger has faithfully led Mercy High School with vision, resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our mission and Mercy charism. Through times of celebration and challenge alike, she has remained deeply dedicated to ensuring that Mercy continues to be a place where young women are known, empowered, supported, and inspired to lead lives of purpose.
And perhaps what makes her journey even more meaningful is that Mercy has always been part of her story. As the president of her own Mercy senior class years ago, I doubt Dr. Kreger could have imagined that one day she would return to lead this school as its president. Yet in so many ways, it feels fitting - because her leadership has always reflected the very spirit and values that define Mercy.
Dr. Kreger’s leadership has strengthened not only our school, but also the spirit of our community. She has continually worked to grow pride in what it means to be a Mercy woman - celebrating the accomplishments of our students and alumnae while reminding us all of the importance of faith, service, sisterhood, and educational excellence.
Dr. Kreger leadership has never been confined to an office. Mercy students know her because she shows up to games, performances, banquets, competitions, liturgies, service events, and countless school activities. She has been a visible and constant presence in the lives of our students, cheering you on, supporting you, and celebrating your successes both large and small.
Behind the scenes, Dr. Kreger has also worked tirelessly to secure the resources necessary to strengthen and enhance the Mercy experience for students. Through her leadership, Mercy has continued to secure funding for updated classrooms and student spaces designed to support learning, connection, school pride, and community. Improvements across campus under her leadership range from the Marlin Store, M-Zone and updated Athletic Locker Room, to the recent Reception Entryway Project that will balance safety needs with a refreshing welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Kreger has consistently kept the student experience and long-term future of Mercy at the center of her work.
Dr. Kreger, thank you for the dedication, vision, and heart you have given to Mercy High School over these past 16 years. Your leadership will have a lasting impact on this community, and the culture of pride, belonging, and mission-centered excellence you helped strengthen will continue. You are always in our hearts because, "Once a Mercy Girl, Always a Mercy Girl."
