2026 Tony Scalzi Spirit of a Marlin Award
For 33 years, Mr. Tony Scalzi served Mercy High School as a dedicated teacher, mentor, and supporter of students. Even after retirement, Tony continued to give back to Mercy in countless ways, substitute teaching, helping at events, supporting athletic contests, and always stepping in wherever help was needed. His love for Mercy and for our student-athletes was unmatched.
Tony embodied everything it means to be a Marlin: loyalty, dedication, kindness, generosity, and school spirit. This award was created to recognize a student who reflects those same qualities through their actions, attitude, and commitment to the Mercy community.
