Sr. Mary Lisa Renfer, RSM, DO '06 Earns 2024 Lumen Christi Award

Mercy Alumna Sr. Mary Lisa Renfer, RSM, DO '06 was named the 2024 recipient of the Lumen Christi Award. 

The annual award is Catholic Extensions's highest honor given to people who radiate and reveal the light of Christ present in the communities where they serve. 

In addition to being a Sister of Mercy, Sr. Mary Lisa is also a doctor of osteopathic medicine, and she works as the medical director of St. Mary's Legacy Clinic in Knoxville, TN. She serves the poor and uninsured in rural Tennessee, driving an RV all through Appalachia and bringing care to anyone who is in need. Sr. Mary Lisa is a remarkable graduate of our school and brings Christ's love to all that she serves!
