Maddie Lee '23 Attends One Love for One Day in D.C.

Shout out to Maddie Lee '23 who was one of 50 student leaders selected from across the country to meet with legislators in D.C. about relationship education with the One Love Foundation One Day for One Love. Her amazing experience included collaborating with the other student leaders to prepare for meetings with the legislators, talking with experts from various backgrounds in D.C. and working with One Love Staff to learn what citizens can do to affect policy and advocate for needs. They also met with six congress people’s staff and had the privilege of seeing behind the scenes of the legislative branch as well as advocated for the budget on the violence against women’s act and for the One Love curriculum, which has already been placed in schools around the country. Way to make a difference, Maddie!
