On Friday, February 24, 2023 Mercy Alumna Judge Jia M. Cobb ‘98 was publicly sworn in to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Administering the oath was Associate Justice Supreme Court of the United States, the Honorable Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. Judge Cobb was nominated by the White House in 2021 and has served in her position since November 2021. She received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2005 (cum laude) and a B.A. from Northwestern University in 2002 (magna cum laude). Congratulations to Judge Cobb on this remarkable achievement! She is truly a Mercy Women Who Makes a Difference.
