Farmington Hills Mercy tops Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood for CHSL championship

Farmington Hills Mercy held off three-time defending champion Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood 11-9 to win its first Catholic High School League Bishop Division Girls Lacrosse Championship since 2006. Mercy led 8-3 at halftime, but Cranbrook closed to 9-7 midway in the second half. Junior Kate Brady scored four goals to lead Mercy. Freshman Maeve Casey had three goals. Senior Ella Brandemihi had two goals. Senior Elle McCarthy and senior Julia Rea both added goals. Sophomore Abby Locy had three assists. Freshman Mackenzie Conway earned the victory in goal. Senior Riya Batra had four goals for Cranbrook.
