Farmington Hills Mercy downed Detroit Renaissance 3-0 to win the Michigan High School Athletic Association Class A District 21 Volleyball Championship on Thursday, Nov. 6, at Renaissance.

Mercy won the match 25-11, 25-15, and 25-18.

Senior Jenna Lerg had 13 kills. Senior Kayla Fisher added seven kills. Senior Monica Shuk had 22 digs for Mercy (51-6-2).

Mercy beat Farmington 3-1 and Detroit Renaissance beat Detroit Mumford 3-0 on Wednesday, Nov. 5, to advance to the final.

Mercy heads to the MHSAA Region 5 tournament at Bloomfield Hills Marian. Mercy will face the winner of the District 19 championship on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m.

Livonia Churchill faces Garden City on Friday, Nov. 7 for the District 19 title.
