Class of 2026 Salutatorian

Peyton Robinson - University of Michigan

It is an honor to recognize Peyton Robinson as a 2026 Mercy Salutatorian. Peyton’s academic dedication and commitment to excellence are reflected in her outstanding 3.95 GPA and rigorous pursuit of six AP courses. Yet what distinguishes Peyton even further is the remarkable way she leads - both in formal leadership roles and in the everyday moments that often matter most. Throughout her time at Mercy, she has repeatedly been sought out to participate in important community conversations and experiences because others deeply value her thoughtful perspective, wisdom, and presence.

Through her involvement in HRC and Student Government Executive Board leadership, Peyton has strengthened her ability to listen with intention and respond with insight and compassion. One of her greatest gifts is her ability to bring people together and help others feel valued and understood. Her Mercy sisters share that Peyton is truly one of the brightest lights within our community. Through countless quiet acts of kindness, she consistently lifts others up and leads with authenticity - especially when no one is watching.

One fellow student reflected that “her spoken word is absolutely beautiful,” and indeed, we have all been captivated by Peyton’s extraordinary gift for oratory, the strength of her voice, and the sincerity with which she shares it. Whether speaking publicly, advocating for others, or engaging in meaningful dialogue, Peyton communicates with both conviction and grace.

Through her outstanding contributions to Mercy Mock Trial, Peyton has further cultivated her passion for federal law, rules of evidence, and the pursuit of justice. We are proud to recognize Peyton as Salutatorian and look forward to the impact she will continue to make as she attends the University of Michigan to study political science on a pre-law track.

Peyton plans to pursue a career as a civil rights attorney with a focus on class action litigation - using her voice to advocate for others. Her aspirations extend far beyond personal success. She hopes one day to work on a more global level, leading with courage, empathy, and unwavering conviction in defense of those whose voices deserve to be heard. And with an ultimate goal of arguing a case before the Supreme Court, those who know Peyton would agree: this dream feels not only possible, but entirely fitting for the remarkable leader she has already become.

Congratulations, Peyton and thank you for sharing your talents with Mercy.
