2023 Fall Sports Tryout Information

All incoming 9th graders, transfer students, athletes, and students taking a Physical Education class, will need a current physical along with a complete FinalForms Profile. All students new to Mercy must be compliant with immunization requirements.

For the 2023-24 school year, you will need a physical performed on/after 4/15/2023. Please upload to FinalForms or scan and email to athletics@mhsmi.org.

All athletes are required to have completed the FinalForms Profile by July 28, 2023. All Athletic Registrations will be done through FinalForms. Registration is required in order to attend tryouts. Please choose the sport(s) you wish to try out for in FinalForms athletic registration. For your convenience, Athletic Fees will be invoiced via Clover.

Try-out times will be on the Athletic Calendar, posted on Mercy website here and team specific pages as available. Please be prepared to attend all try-out sessions. Fall sports (Cross Country, Equestrian, Field Hockey, Golf, Swim & Dive, Volleyball) start date is August 7, 2023. Stay tuned for specific sport team updates.

CROSS COUNTRY

Cross Country practices will be held beginning August 7. Times are subject to change due to weather conditions and coaches will provide updates.

All participants will be assigned a numbered tryout pinnie that they will receive on the first day of tryouts. The tryout pinnie must be returned.

GOLF

Please bring $20 cash tryout fee on Monday, August 7.

Monday, August 7 - all players arrive at 6:45am for 9 holes

Tuesday, August 8 - all players arrive at 6:45am (9 holes for JV, 18 holes for varsity)

Wednesday, Aug 9 - all players arrive at 6:45am (9 holes for JV, 18 holes for varsity)

Thursday, August 10 - all players arrive at 6:45am for 6 holes (done at 9:30)

On the first day of tryouts, players should arrive 30 minutes before the start to check in. Players should wear athletic apparel and kneepads.

Practice will begin Thursday, August 10th. There will be a parent meeting on Friday, August 11th, at 6pm, for any player who makes a team.
