April 23, 2021

Dear Mercy Class of 2021 Family,

Congratulations Mercy Class of 2021! Thank you for your patience and support as we prepare for a wonderful graduation ceremony. We are pleased to share the updated event details. Changes in venue were made to accommodate more guests in an outdoor setting that has a cover. We will utilize the pre-announced rain date for the ceremony and details follow.

Graduation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, 3:00 PM at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheater located at 2600 Atwater Street, Detroit, MI 48207. Plan on 4 tickets per family at this time. There will also be a livestream.

Rehearsal for graduation will be Tuesday, June 1, 1:30 PM on site at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheater. The practice is mandatory for all Seniors in order to participate in the ceremony. Parking for graduation practice will be prepaid and located in the lot across the street from the amphitheater. More specific directions will be communicated to your daughters by the Senior Moderators at a later date.

If your daughter’s graduation dress has not been approved, please have your daughter send a photo of the dress to Dr. Kreger, cdkreger@mhsmi.org or Mrs. Wojcik, mmwojcik@mhsmi.org. All dresses must meet the requirements found here.

For your calendar:
  • Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal: Tuesday June 1, 1:30 PM
  • Baccalaureate Mass: Tuesday June 1, 6:00 PM at St. Scholastica Church (Families may plan on 4 tickets at this time. Additional details are forthcoming.)
  • Graduation: Monday June 7, 3:00 PM at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheater (Graduates will need to arrive at an earlier time and instructions are forthcoming.)
Please note that The Aretha Franklin Amphitheater must comply with any COVID-19 mandates from the State of Michigan. Masks are mandatory and guests will be socially distanced.

We look forward to a beautiful day of celebration in this very special setting.

Blessings,

Senior Class Moderators
