Construction Begins on 11 Mile Road Tuesday, March 30 at 7am
The orange barrels are up and the detour signs are ready to go! Beginning 7:00am tomorrow, Tuesday, March 30 the eastbound lane between Middlebelt and Inkster will be closed. This will disrupt our normal traffic flow pattern into and out of Mercy High School parking lots for the remainder of the semester.
To accommodate this, the South/11 Mile Rd Parking Lot - Flagpole Entrance and West/Middlebelt Rd Parking Lot - Lobby Entrance will have separate entrances and exits. Traffic will not be able to travel between the two parking lots, so plan your route to enter and exit the same lot. Each parking lot will be accessed with a Right Turn In Only and a Right Turn Out Only. This will help traffic flow in/out of the lots and ease traffic flow at the 11 & Middlebelt intersection during drop-off and pick-up times.
The drop off route for the West Lot should not interfere with student parking. Please proceed with caution in all parking lots. Buses will drop-off and pick-up at the Flagpole Entrance. See overview map below or click here.
Travel to Mercy will be affected in the following ways: Determine route based on preferred lot. See traffic flow map below or click here.
Eastbound (from 696 - Novi, South Lyon, Brighton): Use the green and yellow routes for the West/Lobby lot. Use the blue and black routes for the South/Flagpole lot.
Southbound (West Bloomfield, Waterford): Use blue route for the South/Flagpole lot. Use green and yellow routes for the West/Lobby lot.
Westbound (from Southfield, Detroit, Eastern suburbs): Take 11 Mile Rd to the blue route for the South/Flagpole lot. Continue to 11 & Middlebelt light and turn right for the West/Lobby lot.
Northbound (Livonia, Redford):Take Middlebelt to the green route for the West/Lobby lot. Take Inkster to the blue route for the South/Flagpole lot.
ALL EXITS will be RIGHT TURN ONLY. Once turning right out of the West/Lobby lot cars can use the athletic parking lot (on the right ) or the condominium complex (on the left) to head south on Middlebelt.
