Mercy High School Counseling Department
The Counseling Department helps students to make decisions and accept responsibility for their decisions. Students meet with counselors in individual and group sessions, classroom visits, and peer mediations, if needed. Referrals to outside agencies will also be made if necessary. Students are encouraged to set up appointments during their unscheduled time if they need to see their counselor.
The services of the Counseling Department are also available to parents. Parents are encouraged to contact their daughter’s counselor for any academic, personal or family question or concern. Parents are highly encouraged to call ahead and make an appointment if they wish to speak to their daughter’s counselor in person. While every effort is made to accommodate walk-ins, service cannot be guaranteed without an appointment. Counselors have unexpected issues, meetings and other obligations that frequently take them out of their offices.
Please keep in mind that conversations between counselors and students are kept confidential.
