2012 MERCY MOMS Used Book Sale

The Used Book List will be available in July/August 2012.

The MERCY MOMS are holding their Used Book Sale in Mercy’s cafeteria. Please note that because of the large volume and variety of books used by the English Department, only a few of the higher-priced books will be accepted for resale. Used book condition and price will be determined at the time of drop off. Books in poor condition will not be accepted. The MERCY MOMS will make the final decision on accepting books for resale.

Everyone will enter through the auditorium lobby doors (facing Middlebelt). At that time you will be directed to fill out forms (for the sale of books) or to form a line leading to the cafeteria. (No one will be allowed to drop off or pick up books/payment under someone else’s name. If a student or parent is dropping books off for sale on another’s behalf, she or he must turn in books and pick up payment and unsold books in her or his own name only.)

Only cash or checks will be accepted as payment for used books. Checks should be made out to the Mercy Mothers Club. The schedule for dropping off and buying books follows. Families with more than one student at Mercy need not come more than once. We will accommodate mixed grades if necessary.

On the day set aside for picking up unsold used books as well as payment for books sold (minus 5% for the MERCY MOMS to meet book sale expenses), those who dropped off used books for sale MUST return to Mercy to claim any which have not been sold. For those who do not come to Mercy on Pick-up Day, it will be assumed that their unsold books are being donated and payment for sold books will be mailed (to graduates/non-returnees to Mercy) or distributed sometime after school begins (to returning students) through Adviser Group. The recommended schedule for pick-up on that day follows.
