The Performing Arts Department presents a full-length fall play every November for the school and the local community.
The fall 2017 production is "Anne of Green Gables." Show times are November 10-11 at 7:30pm and November 12 at 2:00pm.
The play, set in the early 1900s on Prince Edward Island, Canada, centers of Anne Shirley, a freckled young orphan, who is sent to live with a stern spinster Marilla Cuthbert and her warm-hearted bachelor brother Mathew. The Cuthberts, thinking that they have agreed to adopt a young boy to help with farm chores at Green Gables, are startled when Anne arrives and realize that their lives will never be the same again. Anne’s warmth, wit and imagination affect everyone around her—even, eventually, the cold Marilla. During the play, Anne ages four years, transforming herself from a rebellious girl into a young woman who is romantically paired with the handsome Gilbert Blythe.
