Mercy 2014 Equestrian Round-up

From Coach Stayton:

I cannot believe the year our equestrian teams have had; 2014 was quite the experience!

As a coach, I  am proud to say that both teams did extrememly well, and the young ladies should hold their heads high!

On the A team, the young ladies stepped up and did was needed for the team: That meant that one of the girls had to learn a totally new discipline in a few weeks; and she was very competitive, placing second at the last meet. I had young ladies ride bareback, even though they have never done it before practices in August.

Results from Meet 1: September 6, 2014

Saturday, September 6th was the first meet for the 14 rider strong Mercy Equestrian team that is divided into two divisions this year because of the amount of riders: the A and C teams.  Coaches Karin Stayton and Marcie Curcz are excellent trainers and the riders did an excellent job against tough competition.  Both teams participated at Milford High School in Western showmanship, hunt seat showmanship, saddle seat showmanship, equitation over fences, speed classes, bareback and trail patterns.  The A team did very well
