A number of Mercy swimmers competed this weekend in the USS State Meet at Jenison High School. Seniors; Elena Crowley, Meg Noble and Kara Small swam what will likely be their last age group Short Course State Championship -- with Small going out in style with a 2nd place finish in the overall High Point Award. Mara Loniewski swam this past week at the Junior Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Mara compted in the 100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free and 200 IM. Caryn Switaj and Kelsey Edson swam in their YMCA Zone Championships last weekend as a tune up for the YMCA Nationals in Ft.
Mercy seniors Kelsey Breck (Captain) and Kathy Zatkoff, announced today that they will be attending Kalamazoo College in the fall and will swim for the Hornets. They will be joining former Mercy All American Elizabeth Garlow (Class of 2003) and a talented group of recruits, as the Hornets set their sights on moving up from their fourth place finish in the MIAA this year. We wish both Kelsey and Kathy great success at the ZOO! Congratulations!
